Evidence Write a Diary Entry
PROMPT
The author of My Diary from Here to There tells the story of her family’s journey
from their homeland in Mexico to the United States. The story is told from the
narrator, Amada’s, point of view.
Imagine that you are Amada and that a year has passed since your last diary
entry. Write a diary entry in which you tell about your new life in the United
States. Don’t forget to use some of the Critical Vocabulary words in your writing.
