Michael’s Story: Life with Type 1 Diabetes

For a while, I was scared and sad. It

seemed unfair that I had diabetes.

I could have stayed sad and angry, but

I decided to be happy. Whether I was ▲ I can now give

happy or sad, I was going to have myself shots, but
my parents help me.

after I get a shot, I do a dance I call the Insulin Boogie. This

makes my parents laugh, so they dance with me.
