Lesson 4
Exercise
Nowadays, people worship and
dedicate their time and money in the
temple of the body. People are
excessively engrossed with toning their
muscles in pursuit of the perfect body, but
they have neglected what really defines
humans: intelligence. Whenever I see a
muscle bound guy or wellsculptured gal
sweating it out in the gym, I couldn’t help
exclaiming, “There goes one more brain-
less dinosaur on the verge of extinction.” I just can’t change myself of the ste-
reotype that a beautiful body houses an empty head.
As this health mania spreading like a cold virus, I don’t feel so prejudiced.
A healthy body and a functioning brain can coexist. However, with all
narcissistic preoccupation with health, people no longer have the time to
develop grey matter between their ears. It’s a reverse of the past; people
were too busy making a living or couldn’t afford the time and money to
workout. But when it swung the opposite way, it went to an absurd extreme.
Take this test to determine your mental health.
