8 Thinking Like a Scientist:
Why Don’t Some Popcorn Kernels
Pop? Get Ready
How do you find answers to questions about the world
around us? Do you have what it takes to be a scientist?
e.g. We can do experiments to find answers to questions
we might have about the world around us. I’m not
patient enough to repeat experiments several times, so
I probably wouldn’t make a good scientist.
BIG IDEA
Every day, we observe a lot of things around us. These
observations can lead to questions. We can find answers to
them by using the scientific method.
