Bringing Back Wolves

The wolves that were brought to Yellowstone were placed

                                       n. the act of allowing a person or animal to leave a prison, cage, etc.
in soft release. This means the wolves were put into large
                              release

pens for about ten weeks so that they could get used to

their new home. Ed used this method so that the family

packs would stay in the park area.

Ed used hard release with the wolves in Idaho, so the

wolves were let go right away. In this way, the young

          wolves formed new packs.
