In The Dawn Wall selections, you learned about climbers Tommy Caldwell and Kevin
Jorgeson, the first to free climb the Dawn Wall route to reach the top of El Capitan. The
video and photo essay described El Capitan and the climb, and introduced these two
history-making climbers.
Imagine that you are a news reporter and were there when the climbers reached the
top of the cliff face. Write a news report about the historic event. In your report,
