Evidence Write Flash Fiction
PROMPT
From taming a mountain lion to riding a tornado, each scene in The Saga
of Peco Bill seems more incredible than the one before. What wild
adventures Pecos Bill has in this play!
Writing an entire story in a very short format is known as flash fiction. Turn
the play you just read into flash fiction by summarizing the events in a
paragraph or two. Try not to leave out any scenes, and remember to keep
the sequence of events in order. Don’t forget to use some of the Critical
Vocabulary words in your writing.
PLAN
Make a timeline that summarizes the events in the play. The first
event should be listed on the left side of the timeline, and the last
event should be listed on the right side.
