Evidence Write a Hall of Fame Biography
PROMPT
Brothers at Bat is a story about twelve brothers who played baseball
together throughout their lives. In 1997, the brothers were inducted into
the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Imagine you work for the museum and your job is to create a short
biography of each member of the Hall of Fame. This biography will appear
in the official Hall of Fame guidebook and on a sign in the museum next
to Jimmy Acerra’s uniform and baseball glove. Write a short, interesting
summary of the most important events in the Acerra brothers’ story. Try to
use some of the Critical Vocabulary words in your writing.

Make a list of events in the Acerra brothers’ lives. Put the events in
order. Circle four or five events that would be most interesting to
museum visitors.
