PROMPT
In Finding Bigfoot, you read that some people believe “bigfoot” creatures exist and
some do not. The author presents facts and opinions for both sides of the argument. A
section titled “Spotted! A Flying Piece of Wood from ‘Out of Nowhere’ ” tells about a
woman’s claim that she encountered a bigfoot creature.
Imagine this story of her encounter appeared in a newspaper’s online edition. Write an
online comment in response to that story. Begin by stating an opinion, and then
support your opinion with text evidence. Be respectful of other opinions in your
response. Use some of the Critical Vocabulary words in your writing.
