A Message From The West
Last month saw us initiate two new brothers in a special Saturday meeting. While conferring the First Degree on a candidate is a special event, the energy of our degree work was amazing. I regard our degree work as some of the best I have seen. I hope that we might attempt another daytime degree in the future.
I wanted to also talk about our Monthly Breakfast. We will aim to start them up again in September as long as conditions are amenable. I, like many of you brothers, are missing the fellowship of our breakfasts. I also miss cooking for everyone. I had been on the fence as to when we could start up again. What made me lean on waiting was mainly because of the requirements for serving food. We are not allowed [as of today] to have the breakfast be a buffet as usual. We would have to turn it into the equivalent of a restaurant where we would have to take your order, cook it and deliver it. I believe with the current team of helpers, we could not support that additional effort. So with that being said, mark September 18th on your calendar now. Also if anyone has requests, please email me and I will see what we can do.
So Brethren, get your shot; not only to protect yourself but your Brothers. The sooner we reach herd immunity, the sooner we can get back to normal.
