                                            Acids and Bases









                1. Calcitulation  of  pH  and  pOH  for
                  strong Acids and Baes




                            Strong  acid  such  as  aqueous  solution  of  HCl  or  HNO3  is
              completely ionized to give hydrogen ion. The pH of strong acids
              can  be  calculated  easily  such  as  shown  in  the  following

              examples









                        Strong  base  such  as  aqueous  solution  of  NaOH,  KOH,  or
              Ba(OH)2 is completely dissociated to give hydroxide ion. The pH

              of  strong  bases  can  be  calculated  easily  such  as  shown  in  the
              following examples
