Challenging pressures continue to threaten the status quo in social collectives and mental paradigms. Venus now lends its magnetic allure to the potent Aquarius mix of planets in time for Saturn’s first exact square to Uranus on the 17th. This aspect is commonly referred to as one of “broken bones” - so be warned! Existing forms and structures, mental, social or physical, that have grown rigid and unsustainable must accommodate new information or people. Difference and individuality must be respected and included. Greater tolerance and flexibility are called for. Social responsibilities must be acknowledged. The path towards mutual agreement is not easy. Though the new Moon of the 11th and planetary aspects around Valentine’s Day on the 14th promise tempting visions of possibility, retrograde Mercury can
be expected to delay and frustrate desired outcomes. Make no promises until after the 21st when Mercury stations and turns direct almost exactly midway between Saturn and Jupiter. At such a moment, a synthesis of the best of the past with future opportunities can be woven with greater confidence. Taurean Mars is meanwhile closing on a fortunate aspect to Capricorn Pluto, suggesting that the last week of the month, leading up to the full Moon on the 27th, is one in which a great deal can be practically achieved. Like the blade of a plough, energy should be directed towards cutting through and turning over the soil in order to create the right environment for future growth. Who knows what will be unearthed? Buried treasure?
