Health Science Receives New Equipment
The Health Science program
purchased six new state-of-the-
art Advanta hospital beds with
nightstands and tray tables.
They are industry quality beds
with the latest features such as
a built in scale to weigh pa-
tients, electronic gauges and
settings, and adjustable Trende-
lenburg and Reverse Trendelen-
burg positioning (used for post-
operative care in laparoscopic
surgeries). The program also
purchased new CPR manikins
and AED and blood pressure machines as well as electronic lift slings that help in
assisting patients sit and stand. This new equipment will provide our CNA students
the opportunity to practice using equipment they will encounter when they enter
the workforce.
Cosmetology Student First to Receive Hair Braiding Certification
We are excited to announce that Hanna Roach,
Spartanburg High School junior and Ms. Pruitt’s
Cosmetology I student, is the first to receive the
SC Board of Barbering Hair Braiding Certification
at Daniel Morgan Technology Center. To earn
this, she had to complete an online training
course that focuses on safety and hygiene and
then pass the certification exam. We want to
congratulate Hanna on this achievement!
