Carpentry Students Put Skills to Use in Work-Based Learning
Spartanburg High School senior Ethan Wells is a Carpentry
work-based learning student with Cafe Tables Custom Design
Shop. He is pictured detailing the edge of a custom cafe table.
Ethan will be a Carpentry completer when he graduates this
spring. Great job Ethan!
Spartanburg High School senior Cade Sprouse is a Carpentry work-
based student with Dunbar Construction. Cade is pictured at a resi-
dential construction site installing crown molding. Cade will be a
Carpentry completer and plans to be a full-time employee with
Dunbar Construction after graduation. Dunbar Construction is a
licensed general contractor in Spartanburg, SC, who has been
providing specialized construction services for over five decades.
Congratulations to Jeremy Salazar Santos who is also participating in
a Carpentry work-based learning assignment with Dunbar Construc-
tion. Jeremy is pictured framing an addition to a residential home in
the Converse Heights Community. He is a Spartanburg High School
senior and will be a DMTC Carpentry completer when he graduates
this spring.
Machine Tool Student Utilizes His Abilities in WBL
Broome High School senior Ja’Darren Wannamaker is a Ma-
chine Tool Technology work-based learning student at Griffin
Gear. Located in Roebuck, SC, Griffin Gear has been repairing
gearboxes for more than three decades. Ja’Darren is utilizing
his skills involving lathes and milling machines learned at DMTC
to help complete assignments in his co-op. He will be a Ma-
chine Tool Technology completer when he graduates.
