A. INTRODUCTION
1. Short Description
In this teaching material, we will discuss the expressions of greeting and
leave taking. Greeting and leave-taking is one of the basic materials in English
that must be learned by students. This is because, the greeting will really
open a conversation when we meet someone. In greeting material, we will
discuss the expressions used to greet someone, and also the expressions for
asking someone's condition. Furthermore, the expression of leave taking is
used when we want to separate or say goodbye to other people.

2. Relevance
This teaching material contains material about the expressions used in
greeting and leave taking. These expressions have their own function in a
conversation. After studying this module, students are expected to be able to
understand and use expressions of greeting and leave taking well.
