The Memory of the World (MOW)
Programme was established by UNESCO in
1992 to safeguard valuable documentary
heritage including archives, manuscripts,
inscriptions, and other documentary
materials,from loss, while ensuring that
people around the world can easily access
and benefit from it.

The program aims to preserve, document,
and expand access to the world’s
documentary heritage. The National
Archives of the Republic of Indonesia
serves as the Secretariat of the Memory of
the World Programme in Indonesia.
