A Note from Kim Corben

                                                   Executive Director

Happy November! And I see December peeking around the corner.

Typically, this is a very busy time at the Phil. Tucked within the three months of fall we perform a season-opener, another classical,
and three Holiday Pops concerts. It is exhilarating!

This year, instead of preparing for the pops, our staff and some of the musicians are working on the elements of our first ever,
virtual event, which I am excited to share with everyone in a safe, comfortable way. Our generous sponsors make it possible for
us to bring this free event straight to your home.

These past eight months have been full of this same spirit of support and good will. I have been overwhelmed by the concern

and generosity of our Phil friends. When we cancelled concerts, many donated the value of their tickets back to us rather than ask
for a refund. Most of our subscribers renewed their seats in the face of this season’s uncertainty, taking a leap of faith and hope.

The emails, calls, and support leave me humble and grateful.

And, there’s more amazing news! Thanks to a group of generous donors, for the month of December, including the night of our
virtual event, all donations made to the Phil will be MATCHED! Every donation will be doubled, up to $50,000.

I hope you will join us on December 12, as Sons of Serendip present their gorgeous holiday concert from their home studios.

Steven Karidoyanes will be broadcasting live from PACTV that night and serve as our host. Plus, you’ll enjoy performances by
small ensembles of our Phil musicians—and a few surprise guests along the way.

While we cannot share the usual in-person holiday wishes together in the hall, we CAN share three hours of holiday cheer in our

favorite way—through the magic of music.

                                                                                              CONNECTIONS PAGE 9
