     Twist Weave
I am not quite sure of the correct name for this process; I have heard it
called many names like Coolie Locks and Spiral weave, whatever it is
called, it is a brilliant invention, and use of a box plait with a fifth strand
in this way to create a completely different look from a dreadlock is
                   masterful.
Begin as you would for a Dreadlock, with a box plait and apply a fifth
strand. Tie the short end of the fifth strand to the box plait and leave a
long end of the thread to dangle. Then twist the long end of the fifth
strand as you would for a spiral curl. Fig1
                   Fig1
                                 Twist into a spiral tube
                                 formation and then
                                 wrap around the box
                                 plait and the thread.
Spiral the long part of the fifth strand around the box plait and the tread,
finally push fifth strand up the thread so that it concertina’s and forms
spiral layers. Tie to the thread to hold spirals in place and burn and roll
                   the ends. Fig 2
