Manufacture

Cuticle trimming or removal:

Non-Remi hair only:

Hair in this category is all mixed together from many heads, so it is

impossible to know which are the roots and which are the ends. Products

that are made from Non-Remi hair will certainly matt together and cause

un-controllable tangles if left wet and compressed under a hat or sleeping.

The science of skin and hair has provided an answer. The outer

Keratinised cuticle scales are hard and raised, so they interlock with the

cuticle scales of the hair next to it, which is upside down. This makes it

impossible to separate. The manufacturer uses a chemical to remove the

outer Keratinised cuticle scales, leaving the softer inner younger cuticle

scales that are too soft to interlock with other cuticles, which is fine for

six months, then these inner softer cuticle scales begin to keratinise, and

tangles begin to occur. Finally, the manufacturer will coat this hair with

Silicone so that the comb just glides through the hair without tangle. Fig 6
