Page 8 - FOR THE PALACE
P. 8

I believe this photograph to be three separate photographs digitally montaged together. If we look at the

lighting for the photograph, we are led to believe the light source in this photograph comes from an electronic

flash which has left a hot spot in the window behind Maxwell.

The light source for Maxwell’s photograph comes from a high central ceiling tungsten light bulb. The light from

the bulb spreads outwards. Thereby, lighting Maxwell high and to the side. Maxwell’s photo is taken from the
end of an empty hallway with electronic flash. The flash sensor has allowed enough power to light the

landing displaying a cool temperature for the walls and doors. However, apart from the hot spot in the bedroom

window the light from the flash does not extend beyond Maxwell’s white sweater, suggesting two different light

sources. The mixture of tungsten and electronic flash can be clearly seen in the shadow of Maxwell’s
    collar over her left shoulder.

The light source used to shoot both Andrew’s image and Giuffre’s image was electronic flash only. Cool in
temperature, displaying blue\white in tone. (Please see Fig. 9.)
