To understand hair colour, we first have to understand Light.
How is light created? Light is created when atoms are excited by an
Energy source (Sun in daylight, electrically charged tungsten and
neon bulbs for artificial light).
Once excited some atoms drop their electrons releasing photons.
Seven of these photons vary in colour; these colours are determined
by the amount of energy released by those particular atoms.
Photons are particles; many particles go on to form a wavelength.
