Back 2 School Illinois to Partner with USO of Illinois to Distribute Free School Supplies to Rock Island Military Families
ROCK ISLAND, July, 2018 -- Back 2 School Illinois (B2SI) is partnering with the USO of Illinois (United Service Organizations of Illinois, Inc.) to distribute free school supply kits to Illinois students at Rock Island Arsenal, as part of the non-profit’s distribution program. B2SI’s statewide initiative provides essential supplies and resources to children of active duty, guardand reserve members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, in an effort to meet the educational needs of those students.

Back 2 School Illinois runs the largest free school supplies program in Illinois, providing children with its signature kits, filled with the tools students need for success in the classroom. Back 2 School Illinois partners with community organizations, including USO of Illinois and Operation Homefront, to facilitate distribution events that deliver the materials directly to the children they serve.
USO is a nonprofit organization, that strengthens America's military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. With 5 center facilities and hundreds of programs and services, USO of Illinois serves nearly 325,000 service members and their families.

Back 2 School Illinois (B2SI) is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to provide educational opportunities that enrich the lives of Illinois children. The Back 2 School program has provided almost 200,000 children with their own school supply kits since its inception. B2SI’s long-term goal is to provide the more than one million Illinois children from low-income families each year with the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom.
