Back 2 School Illinois to Partner with Operation Homefront to Distribute Free School Supplies to Milan Military Families
CHICAGO, July, 2018 -- Back 2 School Illinois (B2SI) is partnering with Operation Homefront to distribute 200 free school supply kits to underserved Illinois students at Milan National Guard Armory, as part of the non-profit’s distribution program. B2SI’s statewide initiative provides essential supplies and resources to children of active and reserve members of all branches of the U.S. armed forces, in an effort to meet the educational needs of those students.

Back 2 School Illinois runs the largest free school supplies program in Illinois, providing children from low-income families with its signature kits, filled with the tools students need for success in the classroom while lessening the financial burden felt by their families. Back 2 School Illinois partners with community organizations, including Operation Homefront (since 2013) and the USO, to facilitate distribution events that deliver the materials directly to the children they serve.

The Back 2 School program has provided almost 200,000 children with their own school supply kits since its inception.
