case learnings to the culture of the Marine Corps.
Saturday afternoon was spent at the National
Museum of the Marine Corps. The group toured
the Museum, focusing on the new exhibits that
were open, and then went to the Medal of Honor
Theater to view the film, “We, The Marines.” The
film was extraordinary and offered an unforgettable
glimpse into the first-hand experiences of America's
"first responders" and what it takes to serve as a
member of the U.S. Marine Corps. After the film,
there were very few dry eyes in the room. The
Saturday evening events continued at the Museum
with cocktails at the Tun Tavern, followed by a
beautiful catered dinner in the Medal of Honor 2 nd
Deck Theater Lobby. Highlights of Saturday night
included a presentation by Tim who gave a special
tribute to all the MBA and AMP Fellows, and a
heartfelt speech by our keynote speaker General
James Amos, USMC (Ret), who spoke about Tim’s
philanthropy and generosity to the Marine Corps
and the legacy he leaves behind.
On Sunday, some of our early morning guests
appreciated the beautiful fall weather and went on
a hike in Prince William Forest Park. The entire
group enjoyed Sunday brunch together followed by
a “Tribe” Meeting where the Fellowship recipients
gave a brief - but very personal and often moving -
update on what’s been happening in their
lives. The meeting ended around 2:00pm, the
group said their good-byes and departed for their
homes.
We’re positive the reunion sparked some old
memories and created some new ones. It was
wonderful to see everyone and we look forward to
seeing everyone at the next reunion.
