ROUND TURN & TWO HALF HITCHES
This very versatile, strong and dependable knot can be used for
tying a line to a wide variety of objects including a ring, stake,
post, pole, handle or rail. Once the end of a line has been secured
with a round turn and two half hitches, the other end can be tied
with a second knot, which is especially useful for fastening down
unwieldy, bulky objects.
1 Take the line end around the object twice, making sure to leave enough
line to complete the two half hitches.
