FISHERMAN’S KNOT

                This  simple  but  very  strong  knot  is  generally  known  as  the

                fisherman’s  knot  but  is  also  known  by  a  variety  of  other  names

                including the English, halibut and waterman’s knot. It is used for

                joining  two  lengths  of  similar  diameter  cord  or  line  and  is  most

                effective  with  small  diameter  material  such  as  string,  twine  and

                fishing line.



                 1  Lay the two lines you want join parallel to each other and make a single

                overhand knot in one of the line ends, around the other line.
