PILE HITCH
The pile hitch is a very neat and practical knot for securing objects
to a post—ideal for a temporary mooring of a small boat, but can
be used with a variety of objects. The big advantage of this knot is
that it is very easy to untie. Ease the pressure on the line and lift the
knot off the top of the post.
1 Make a loop in the line and wrap it around the post.
POSSIBLE USES?
• Temporary mooring of a small boat or dinghy.
• Tying between posts to create a barrier.
