TRUCKER’S HITCH
This is a very practical knot that can be tensioned further after
tightening the knot, making it very useful for securing objects or
loads. When the knot has been fully tensioned, the line end can be
secured to a securing device with at least two half hitches. Untying
the half hitches will make the knot ready for immediate release.
1 Pass the line around the object to be secured and then through or
around the securing device, then twist an overhand loop into the main line.
