2 Tie a timber hitch (see page 61) around both poles at the intersection.
Lead the main line away from you, around the back of both poles.
3 Wind the main line tightly over the top of the hitch and around the
intersection four or five times. The number of windings will depend on the
diameter of the poles and thickness of the line.
