Wilfred had been a patient at our surgery since he was a new puppy in his new home at 3 months of age.
Right from the beginning his energy was very high. In our surgery during his first visits, he would be grabbing toys and doing zoomies in the room. He was very vocal with crying and whinging even during play.
He appeared to be a confident pup, however when put in a crate he would get so upset with crying and pawing at the cage that he would vomit. There were other older, more fragile animals in his home and his interactions with them had to be supervised because of his rough housing. He was very mischievous and would steal toys.
He liked to chew on and swallow dirt and bricks and sticks such that his owner was worried he would damage his teeth. He would clear grass to get at the dirt and mud so he could eat it and roll in it. He had a few close calls in his early days with bits of objects getting jammed in his gut.
When his feet touch the ground outside his energy explodes. Like a bucking bronc. He loves the pool and water. The heat seemed to bother him badly and he would throw off blankets and lie on cold tiles if he could.
He had the usual vaccines as a pup and after these had some mild ear discharges and redness treated with Thuja and some essential oil ear drops.
