P. 5

At around 6 months of age, he started being quite sexual and was trying to hump people’s legs. At our surgery we made the note that he was “Full on but nice enough”. Now he was treated with a single dose of Medorrhinum in a 1M potency.
When he was 18 months old, he came for a reassessment and the issues were hyperarousal, hypervigilance, exuberance, colitis and anxiety. He had been hypersexual with humping of anything, all the time – cushions, toys or the other female dog. He urine-marks where the other dog has been. He is licking at his genitals a lot. He seems to get diarrhoea if he is stressed or fearful. At home he will be quick to jump up and turn into guard dog mode. He is not jealous, but he wants the owner to be with him all the time. He will cry continually if left alone. When the owner returns, he explodes with joy. He has become very sensitive to any loud noise. He chases cats to play with them and he tries to hunt birds.
At this visit he was treated with a Superloren implant, some LM01 Phosphorus to take daily and some CBD.
These treatments seem to aggravate things. Now he was trying to jump on everything and everyone. He was pulling everything down and chewing it. He was getting too wound up and then barked continually. He was reactive around his face with silly snapping if they tried to check there. He growled and tried to bite one of the nurses at our surgery when they collected blood, but it wasn’t violent, just silliness.
He was treated with some Lycopodium, then some Argentum nit, (this helped his anxious diarrhoea), then Hyoscyamus (given because of his silly, intense sexuality). None of these prescriptions really helped much. He was now over 2 years old.
When the Superloren wore off he became more sexually obsessive. He was also now peeing on everything and
continually licking his penis and sniffing at everything. They put on a belly band to stop him peeing inside. He was now regularly vomiting and showing signs of reflux. He was going absolutely nuts if anyone came to the door and at other times, he was looking very depressed.
Now he was treated with Testosterone in a 200c potency. (I used this because the Superloren seemed to bring his sexuality more into the foreground and his owners were against desexing). This medicine improved him a little. It slowed some of his sexual symptoms. He now started doing obsessive things like hitting at the fan or opening/closing a door. He would howl in the night if his owners went to the bathroom. His owner says he is a sweet dog underneath, but his behaviour is causing huge issues in the household. They are unsure if they can go on further.
Next, he is given Apis in a 10M potency. (This was given for the sexuality, the animal symptoms, his silliness and his aversion to warmth) This “mellowed him out for 2 days then after that did nothing” his owner reported. His sexuality had increased further as the younger dog at home came into season.
AND FINALLY, WE GET TO THE FINISH LINE! Next medicine was Tarentula hispanica 1M. One week later a short note was written by his owner.
and a further note...
more relaxed than I have seen him in a long time and is settling on his own much better. I feel the Tarentula has been helping so far. Thanks so much
Ann-Marie
Thankyou Henry, Wilfred is doing much better since starting on the Tarentula remedy. He’s finally found some peace within himself, is finding it much easier to settle on his own and isn’t pacing and getting into trouble like he was. He still has his moments where he gets overexcited and silly over some things but is able to settle afterwards much faster. He is able to have good rests during the day and now is sleeping well at night when exercising and playing, his mood is much more level and he is not frequently getting overstimulated like he would. He is settling so much better now that he is a touch lazy at times. I think the real Wilfy is finally showing himself. I feel most of his life his high energy nature has been him running off his high stress levels.
He’s relaxed enough to roll on his back for tummy rubs, which was very rare for him to do, but he is doing it daily now, and his facial expressions seem like he is relaxed and happier in himself.
The hypersexuality has also had a dramatic reduction. He’s not trying to hump Lottie even after dinner like he would often do even when on Superloren. He is barely trying to mark inside and the marking frequency reduced outside as well.
I’m sure if Wilfy could he would thank you for working your magic and helping him find some peace within himself. It has made a huge difference to his quality of life and ours.
Can you give Dr Henry a little update for me please, I just want to let him know things have settled down a lot. He got wound up seeing Lottie again when we got home from our appointment last Thursday, I gave him a dose of the Tarentula and within around half an hour he settled and slept for the afternoon. The next couple of days were a little rough but he was able to sleep during the day which he really struggled to do previously. After that her heat was over and he stopped obsessing over her. Since he has been much
