Oh how we laughed! Meet the singing chef, part of the Saturday night entertainment
treatment beyond trauma, though the theme of wounding is a major facet of the family. There is so much more to the Asteraeae than Arnica, needless to say!
Mary van der Steur practices with Jan Scholten in The Netherlands where they see many patients with autoimmune disease. They find remedies from the Lanthanide series especially valuable in treating these patients. On Saturday afternoon, Mary reviewed the general themes of the periodic table rows and columns. Then she gave an excellent description of the Lanthanide group, explaining the basic themes, how the members of the series differ, and discussing how to choose the anion for the salt. Stefan Kohlrausch and Don Hamilton added their insights about using these remedies with animals.
Let’s not forget the social aspect of any Congress! Tom arranged an outing to The Old Schoolhouse in Swords for Friday evening; some attendees found other pubs in the town as well! The Congress dinner was held at The Marine Hotel in Sutton Cross. It was sad that England lost to Wales in the rugby, but the rest of the evening was delightful. The meal was delicious, the serenading chef was side splitting, and the band after dinner was energetic and enjoyable. We rolled back to the Emmaus Center in the wee hours, being very careful to not disrupt the peaceful atmosphere!
The BAHVS Congress is my must-attend homeopathic event of the year, and I came home this year rejuvenated and energised from the camaraderie and intellectual stimulation. I hope to see all of you in Bath in 2016!
Happy Saturday night party-goers
Thanks to all sponsor’s and exhibitors who attended the conference

We were quite drawn to this old watercolour painting we found in one of the local pubs.
