• Lise brought up Smits’ work using CEASE therapy with the autistic when there is a vaccine causation, and as a cleansing.
• Peter discussed detox therapy with the vaccine tautode, using ascending potencies.
• Geoff noted the modalities of worse undressing, better clothed, and methodical. Along these lines are: Ant-crud with oversensitivity to homeopathics, better at the seaside, worse uncovering; Ammon-carb with sour, small world view; Polystyrene as walled off and in own bubble.
As you can imagine, this level of input is fantastic, and I am so grateful to everyone for their input! Some of you sent me additional thoughts after the conference which added to my evaluation of the case. I deeply value the support of the BAHVS family, and this was just another instance in which I have been uplifted by your help and support.
I read over, organised, and pondered my notes.
• I decided that it was certainly a good idea to provide some herbal support. Fletch rejects food with medicine in it. His owner can give liquids by mouth, so we started one drop of Chelidonium herbal tincture on 8 March in a small amount of water once daily, increasing to twice daily on 15 March.
• I considered using a sarcode, like Testosterone, but the picture didn’t fit at all well.
• I considered vaccine tautodes for the Rabies vaccine, and I may do that in the future.
• I thought about the different symptomatic homeopathic medicines discussed, and ordered those that I did not already have. I would like to prescribe on the totality if possible, especially as this dog seems to be oversensitive to homeopathic medicines.
I decided to limit my choice to minerals, and reviewed Vermeulen’s materia medica for all the medicines in italics above - Ammon-carb, Ant- crud, Ars-alb, Graphites, and Nat- mur - noting the qualities in each medicine that were also in Fletch. Graphites was the clear choice after this comparison, both in number of comparable rubrics, and analogy of the rubrics to his signs. It is possible that some of this is due to Graphites being a better-known medicine than Ammon-carb and Ant-crud.
Fletch’s owner started the Graphites LM 1 once daily on 13 March by olfaction with no apparent change. She started lightly touching the cotton ball to his nose on 17 March. I will be sure to keep you appraised of his progress – or otherwise! I have other options if his response is not good. Most of my patients show response to LM potencies within the first few weeks, and I adjust the dose based on their response. The difficulty with Fletch has been that he seems to respond negatively to everything.
Positive thoughts much appreciated, needless to say!
