In November ’11, we had a detailed homeopathic consult. Rubrics chosen were:
Mind, Anxiety - Anticipation, from Mind, Anxiety - riding, while
Mind, Aversion – persons – certain, to
Mind, Caressed; being – desire to be caressed Mind, Consolation – amel
Mind, Mildness
Mind, Wandering – desire to wander
Generals – Food and Drinks – bread - agg Generals – Food and Drinks – fruit – aversion
The ear inflammation rubrics were so large as to be unhelpful.
Ranking high in the repertorization were Phos, Carc, Nat-mur, Puls, Lyc, Nit-ac, Caust, Ars, Calc, Sep, Nat-c.
This dog is such an interesting character that Carcinosin was an easy choice. He is mild and solicitous of the older dog, and even when his ears
were very painful he only tried to get away, never to bite.
Treatment was started with a Carcinosin 30-200- 1M potency chord, with Carcinosin LM 1 to follow
as needed.
Since then, including Joker’s last annual exam last month, he has needed no ear treatment aside from occasional gentle cleaning with an over the counter
product after swimming or digging.
His homeopathic medicine (Carcinosin) costs less than $10 a year, as he now only needs a dose if he eats bread or some other grain product. He has no other health
problems, and it is easy to handle his ears.
The reason I thought to write this up is because the owner, during last month’s exam, brought up the costly and ineffective three months of treatment, and expressed a wish that she had ‘gone for the homeopathy’ in the first place. It is nice when they see the difference, isn’t it?
Dr Peter Fisher
Homeopathic veterinarians around the world are mourning the sudden and shocking loss of Peter Fisher. His profound knowledge and forthright manner were a comfort and a strength to all of us who shared his endeavours; to understand homeopathy in all its simplicity and its complexity; to defend it unstintingly against any odds; and to practise homeopathic medicine in a way which provides the best in care for our patients. Peter was a figure of unique stature and will be remembered as one of the most influential of our times. That we should lose him so early in his Presidency is tragic for us all, but inestimable as our loss may be, it can only be a fraction of the grief suffered by his family, to whom our hearts go out with unconditional sympathy and love.
