Ruby is a 1.8 years old very active lean border collie.
Brough in due to diarrhoea with messing in the house at night. Small and large amounts of diarrhoea of various nature. Normal (high) energy, no change in habits, possibly only slight subdued, eating well, no vomiting. Diarrhoea started 6 days ago after a grooming session she did not like? The examination is completely normal.
Bland food with probiotics and pectin-based tablets were prescribed. This prescription made no difference 4 days later. Ruby is still full of energy running outside as if nothing is wrong, no obvious weight loss.
Based on the possibly emotional cause and the complete lack of loss in energy and general being after 10 days of D+: Phos-ac 30C.
After one dose, the diarrhoea settled overnight. Magically according to the owner.
Ph-ac: the remedy that cannot take the appropriate distance from reality, ‘’does not even realise it has bad diarrhoea and forgets to be ill with it...’’ or overreacts to lesser issues (weakness due to a smaller issue). Or cannot get over an emotion. Edward de Beukelaer
