As the nights are drawing in, it’s definitely turned colder up here in the North but I still have a warm glow from the first proper post pandemic BAHVS conference held in Eastbourne from 4th-6th November. We weren’t sure how many people would want to attend in person and so erred on the cautious side with a small venue but we needn’t have worried, it was obvious that people had a need to reconnect in person and we were soon fully booked. The event was the first proper hybrid event we’d hosted as well, so there was also the opportunity to attend on Zoom. There were a few glitches with online connection and it’s certainly something we need to work on for next year, as I believe hybrid events are the way forward to increase accessibility for everyone. There is a report on the conference later in the Mag [p4] but it was a truly wonderful weekend with people from as far as Australia and New Zealand and as close as 20 minutes away! The programme was a fantastic mix of the
