quite well. In the end this capacity got lost as well.
X-rays and lab results did not show anything irregular and no causal diagnose could be found. His neural reflexes of all 4 legs have been very much reduced and urination and defecation worsened by time becoming involuntary. He smelled of urine all the time. As the lady, who took him on, who is a friend of mine, didn't live near the clinic and could not bring him in, I made a home visit and started treating him with Vitamin B12, Hypericum as it was a nerve problem and later Conium, because she had told me the story of a slowly aggravating paralysis starting from the distant parts and going upwards. The therapy was not successful.
3 weeks later the lady had to go abroad and asked me to take care of the dog for the 7 days. When she brought the dog, nothing had changed. He could not move at all from the place you put him. We have 5 rescue cats, which are all careful and shy with dogs, but they accepted him within one day and even slept near him and let him get close. Of course he could not follow them or chase them, but the most important was that he had not the slightest intention to do so.
The extraordinary about this guy was that he was very happy all the time, cheerful and seeking contact. Whatever you did with him he would never growl or bite. I found this very unusual in his situation and this was the only reason that he did not get euthanised. He
was eating and drinking perfectly, was very hungry but patient and his poo was regular.
As you see on the photo his built is slim with long and slim legs and a pointed nose. After he had been with us for 1 day I got the idea to change the remedy and give him Acidum phosforicum C200 once 3 globules.
Follow-up: The result was very surprising. After 30 minutes he started making efforts to stand up with his front legs, which he had not done for a long time. The next morning he was sitting. Within 2 days he could (with help of
support) stand on all four legs and walk some steps after showing him to lift one front paw after the other and make small steps. First after 5 steps he fell down, as he had no more muscles left after 3 month of not moving.
5 days later he managed to walk 10 meters, did all his peeing and poo’ing outside by himself. His walking was still unstable and sometimes he fell and there was a bit of twisted body movement. After 8 days the owner could not believe her own eyes, when he was approaching her to say hello. One more week and he was running and 3 weeks later the lady complained that he was overactive and could never get enough.
Now after 9 months she complains about him having made her new rescued bitch pregnant and being sexually hyperactive. Still he is a cheerful and nice fellow interested in everything around him.
