                                           Centennial Chapter Celebrations

           This article addresses those Chapters that chartered between 1926 and 1928. The “Classes of ’26, ’27, and ’28” were
          originally  composed  of  52  Chapters  —Oklahoma  City  (now  Tinker)  Chapter  #43  through  New  York
          Caduceus (Knickerbocker) Chapter #94.    Among  these  52 Chapters,  30  are  dissolved  2  are  In-Memoriam, and  20
          are currently active, with 15 being continuously active.
          Class of ’26 (8 Chapters and their seniority in 1926):
          •  Oklahoma  City  (now  Tinker)  #43:   Chartered 19 Jan 1926, merged with Tinker #464 on 1 Jul 1966 to form

             Tinker #43, and preserved 100-year legacy of the senior Chapter’s number.
          •  Quantico #44:  Chartered 20 Jan 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.

          •  San Diego #45:  Chartered 5 Mar 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Lincoln  #52:   Chartered  30  Aug  1926,  dissolved  10  Jun  1929,  rechartered  27  Oct  1932,  dissolved  in  1949,

             rechartered on 13 Jul 2017, and active approximately 29 years.
          •  Hartford #56:  Chartered 19 Oct 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  New London #58:  Chartered 2 Nov 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Fort McPherson #60:  Chartered 4 Nov 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Kansas City #63:  Chartered 26 Nov 1926 and continuously active for 100 years.


          Class of ’27 (8 Chapters and their seniority in 1927):
          •  Indianapolis  #66:    Chartered 15 Jan 1927, merged with Fort Benjamin Harrison #393 on 4 Jul 1992 to form
             Indianapolis-Fort Harrison #66, and preserved chapter number’s legacy.
          •  Dayton  #67:  Chartered 20 Jan 1927, merged with Columbus #10 on 1 Nov 1997; rechartered 9 Aug 2018, and
             active for approximately 80 of 100 years.
          •  Richmond (Richmond-Camp Lee, Fort Lee-Richmond) #72:  Chartered 2 Apr 1927 and continuously active for
             100 years.
          •  El  Paso  #74:    Chartered  14  Apr  1927,  IM  on  7  Aug  2013,  rechartered  on  28  May  2022,  and  active  for
             approximately 91 years.
          •  Portland #75:  Chartered 10 May 1927 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Harrisburg #76:  Chartered on 10 Jun 1927 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Sinclair Inlet #80:  Chartered 4 Sep 1927 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Springfield  #84:    Chartered  14  Dec  1927,  dissolved  2  Nov  1930,  rechartered  22  Sep  2019,  and  active  for
             approximately 11 years.

          Class of ’28 (4 Chapters and their seniority in 1928):
          •  Manhattan (Long Island) #86:  Chartered 16 Jan 1928, merged with New York #13 (now Knickerbocker-West
             Point #13) 1 Jul 1982, rechartered as Long Island #86 9 Jun 1990, and active for approximately 92 years.
          •  Des Moines #88:  Chartered on 19 Mar 1928 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Fort Lewis #89:  Chartered on 20 Apr 1928 and continuously active for 100 years.
          •  Portland #92:  Chartered on 29 May 1928 and continuously active for 100 years.

          Congratulations to the leaders  and members  of these 20 Chapters.    It is  your choice how your Chapter celebrates
          its  Centennial  Anniversary,  but  you  are  highly  encouraged  to  make  it  special,  whether  your  Chapter  has
          operated continuously or not.
