                 The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)   helps low-income households with

                 home energy bills. Eligible expenses include heating and cooling energy costs, bill payment assistance,
                 energy crisis assistance, weatherization, and energy-related home repairs.

                  Do I Qualify?

                  In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must
                  need financial assistance for home energy costs.



















                  You may also automatically qualify if you or a family
                  member participates in certain other benefit programs
                  including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
                  (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI),
                  Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or
                  certain needs-tested Veterans benefits.

                  Always check with the appropriate managing agency to
                  ensure the most accurate guidelines and eligibility.  [1] Under the CARES Act, LIHEAP received $900 million in emergency funding for 2020.
                                                                     The funds are available through September 30, 2021.  LIHEAP is a program under the
                                                                     U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
