The way he should indicates the right and sensible thing to do or the

right way to behave. The way means putting him or directing him on

the right path. The question every parent should ask themselves, the
training you are giving your children is it the right training or

sensible thing to do? And I don't mean what you consider to be right

just as the Scripture says:

Trusting the Lord with all your heart,

and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct

your paths. ~Proverb 3:5-6

And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.

1 Corinthian 11:1

There is a way that appears to be right,

but in the end, it leads to death.
Proverb 14:12

The training/upbringing you are passing to your child, where and

what will it lead your child to (life or destruction/death) and who

are you imitating? To Paul, he urges them to imitate him just
because he is imitating Christ but to so many of us is one celebrity

because he or she is famous or rich, not minding the eternal havoc
and your child's soul, especially in the area of fashion etc.
