13. WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES
DO I HAVE AS A CUSTOMER?
Answer: As part of an effective
partnership, your waste provider will
have certain expectations of you. At
Viridor, these include basic responsibilities
regarding duty of care, health and safety,
compliance and legal obligations.
As a result of the services Viridor provide, we require
you to complete any necessary paperwork and
documentation when requested - these may include
annual duty of care certificates and consignment
notes. We would also require you to carry out your own
risk assessments and provide copies if necessary.
Other expectations include being happy to provide
sufficient notice when booking in collections or
any additional work. Notice times and expectations
will be clarified within the agreed SLA’s.
We would also expect a certain degree of
container maintenance in terms of good hygiene
and appropriate usage, in order to limit damages
within standard wear and tear guidelines.
We aim to keep our customers fully updated
on the latest legislative requirements and other
developments affecting waste management
practices, and our local teams would be
happy to advise you wherever possible.
