Little League baseball began in 1939, in Williamsport
Pennsylvania. During and after the second World War the

founded in New Jersey. It wasn’t long before the rage of
Little League reached Central NY and New Hartford. New
Hartford’s League was well up and running by the early
to mid 1950’s.
At the height of its popularity, New Hartford had six
teams in Little League and six in Minor League. Each
team was sponsored by a local business to help pay for
uniforms, equipment and supplies. Most of the sponsors
