The Alchemist
The Alchemist is Central New York’s newest spiritual supply and fair trade gift shop.
We specialize in tools, supplies, and resources that help to boost mental health, build
community, and promote self growth and healing. Now offering classes for adults and teens,
including but not limited to paint and sip, terrarium making, yoga, group meditations,
spiritual development, psychic readings and much more.
Originally, Nook and Cranny Reading Room was located in Oneida. We rebranded as
The Alchemist to promote the concept of the ever changing self - or transitioning from
phases of life that don’t serve you, into ways of living that truly express your identity. The
new store reflects access to information, tools and community connections that help us to
move forward and to create a new sense of self that is bold, daring, courageous, and ready
to rise to our own occasion.
Our carefully curated selection of products are imported from fair trade companies,
independent businesses, women owned and operated, or sustainably sourced farming and
mining. Discover a wide range of fair trade gifts, imported goods, books, and metaphysical
products, including bulk herbs, spiritual tools, handmade soy candles, and goat's milk
soaps. Explore our adult creative classes, spiritual group, meditations, and tarot readings.
Plan your next event with us, or just visit for a spell. Located on the lower level of Plaza 5
in New Hartford, NY. Our sign is not on the marquee yet, we are between Whiskey Jacks
and Ve Lux med spa, sharing a parking lot with Big Apple Music and Rockin Horse Tattoo.
