5. Diagnostic instructions
a. The faults of electric control engine don’t need to be caused by electric injection system.
b. In many cases, the fault is still a fault of mechanical part and fuel pipe for normal engine, and the
repairman’s experiences are very important for it.
c. If the fault indicator lamp fails to go on, the repairman shall be mainly responsible for checking the
mechanical faults.
d. When the fault indicator lamp goes on, it indicates the fault of electric injection system. The repairman can
read the fault codes to perform the corresponding work at this time.
e. It’s recommended that any untrained repairman shall not try any repair but the repair shall be told to
specialized person as soon as possible.
f. Basic diagnostic knowledge required by repairman: fault judgement of normal engine, operating principles
of common rail system, engine harness and control policies, etc.
