Hello everyone!

Adjusting to a new pace with new restrictions is tough, for all of us. It’s famously repeated, “Tough times don’t last,
but tough people do.” We can do this! We are working together, while staying apart.

             CONNECTION
You have found methods to connect in new and fun ways. Virtually celebrating or playing games has become a part of
nearly everyone's lives. I encourage you to look for opportunities to have fun and stay connected. Share photos of your
daily walk with your team or join someone for lunch virtually, while also unplugging often enough to maintain healthy
             work/life boundaries.

I encourage everyone to join Tiffani Vargas for a mid-day desk-side decompress, AM express or PM interval workout.
Take a moment to review the Wellness Calendar and select a class. I’ve participated and hope to see more join in. It’s
important to take care of yourself. Have fun, celebrate, and stay healthy!

             SAFETY
The wellness and safety of SAFE employees and members is my number one priority. Members are relying on us
during these uncertain times, and we are doing everything we can to continue providing the essential services they
need, while keeping our team healthy.

SAFE has purchased cloth face coverings for all employees who are working at a branch or headquarters. Masks were
distributed Friday. We encourage you to wear face coverings to protect your health and that of others around you.

To those of you working onsite, you are our heroes – our own financial first responders. Our members continue to
commend your service and dedication. And, thank you to everyone working remotely. We know juggling
responsibilities isn’t easy, and we simply couldn’t serve our members without all of us pulling together.

             BUSINESS
As you may know, small businesses have been hit hard. To help, the SBA Paycheck Protection Program was made
available to help cover payroll costs for up to 8 weeks. Response was overwhelming and SAFE made the difficult
business decision to stop accepting applications. While not easy, this will allow us to focus on existing business
members and the applications received. Business Banking and IT have been working around the clock to fund these
loans as quickly as possible. Your tireless efforts are appreciated.

There are other ways we can support small businesses. Schedule a weekly take-out, buy gift cards to use later, and
shop local for gifts that can be delivered. Use your SAFE Rewards card and you’ll be supporting another local business
             – Us! Also, don’t underestimate the power of social media. Tell your friends about your favorite shops and why you
             like them.

Thank you, once again, for your dedication and flexibility during this unprecedented time. Each of you plays a critical
role in providing vital services to our members. You are appreciated! Stay healthy and safe.
