10 Tips before you go

1. Get to know Paris.

2. Buy all museum passes in advance to avoid long
lines.

3. Buy Metro pass/ticket at any metro station.

4. Check and book events in advance (music,

exhibition, specials, … on Ticketmaster), and

restaurants (The Fork, Michelin Star Rwestaurants)

5. Monday many shops are closed, Tuesday

Museums are closed.

6. Tips: In cafes and restaurants, a service charge of

15% is included in the bill. It’s customary to leave a

tip from small change (for a coffee) to few Euro… If
you take a cab, leave the change or EUR1 for short

ride.

7. Lunch: check the “Menu du Jour”, always well

priced.

8. Restroom: there are not many public places, the
easiest way is to go to a “café” and order

something (coffee, soft drink, …) to use the toilet.

9. Emergency call: dial 15 (Medical) or 17 (Police).
