This week, our Pre-Playgroup and
Playgroup children had an exciting
time stepping into the world of
family life through imaginative
play.In the salon corner, little
hairdressers and customers took
turns styling each other’s hair using
combs, brushes, mirrors, and
pretend hairdryers. Their chatter and
laughter filled the room as they
YEAR 4
created their “Salon magic”!
Meanwhile, in the living room area,
children became family members—
reading stories, “watching” TV, and
enjoying time together. Their
creativity shone as they acted out
familiar routines with enthusiasm.
Over at the sensory station, the

children got hands-on making their own
playdough! Mixing flour, oil, food colouring,
cream of tartar, and salt, they watched the
ingredients transform into soft, colourful
dough—an activity that was as educational as it
was fun.
Through these playful experiences, the children
explored everyday routines, built their
vocabulary, and developed key social and
communication skills—all while having a
fantastic time together!
