DEPUTY HEAD BOY’S ADDRESS
G ood morning to the Board of The
the
Regent
School,
Secondary
Principal, staff, and our dear parents.
I didn’t know how to start this speech. I had so
many thoughts running through my head —
memories, emotions, lessons — but I couldn’t
pick just one way to begin. Because how do you
sum up years of growth, failure, laughter, and
redemption in just a few minutes?
Still… here I am. And I’ll start with the truth. It
wasn’t easy. It was never supposed to be easy.
Most of us graduating today didn’t have a
proper primary school graduation due to the
COVID pandemic. From the moment we walked
into this school, we were expected to grow, to
learn, to lead, to mature — all while figuring out
who we were. And again, we were doing all of
that in the middle of a global pandemic.
Most of us graduating
today didn’t have a
proper primary school
graduation due to the
HAMZA BAMBADO COVID pandemic.
