Safeguarding
          Corner

                                                          Grief and

              Mrs Patience Uwakwe Gratitude
          Designated Safeguarding Lead

ver the past week, our school has
               been navigating the painful news
        O of the passing of a much-loved
member of staff. It has been a heavy
moment for all of us, and it is completely
        understandable that many are feeling
unsettled, sad, or simply quiet as we try to
        make sense of it.

Grief shows up differently for each person.
Some may cry easily; others may withdraw
or feel unusually tired. Some may find
        themselves remembering small things
unexpectedly throughout the day. All of
these are normal responses to loss. They
remind us of the impact this colleague
