In Nigeria Studies, Year 2 classes explored the importance of looking after our planet. The
children learned practical ways to care for the Earth, such as saving energy, conserving water,
and avoiding littering. They also discovered the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle—and created
thoughtful posters illustrating how to protect the environment.
We wrapped up the week by celebrating our
very own Year 2 Earth Day! The children
made creative Earth Day headbands,
proudly wore them to school, and engaged
in a hands-on activity by cleaning the school
environment through sweeping and picking
up litter.
It was an enriching and memorable experi-
ence that inspired the children to become
Earth-conscious citizens!
